For Sale: 1984 Pontiac Fiero in Oxford, Massachusetts for sale in Oxford, MA

1 of 31
Vehicle Description Being offered here is a fine example of a 1984 Pontiac Fiero Indy Pace Car Edition.
Presently this vehicle has under 20,000 original miles and has always been properly garage stored throughout the years.
It is all original with its power train, interior, paint & factory graphics.
(There are a few red 'PONTIAC' letter decals on the rear bumper & left headlight door that can easily be removed).
Even the space saver tire is original and has never been used.
Upon viewing and expanding the picture of the original window sticker (which will be included) all of the factory options listed work properly.
Unfortunately the original R-12 refrigerant had to be converted to the 134a, but the A/C works & blows cold.
Among originality, is that the factory premium AM / FM Stereo Cassette with Dolby & Graphic Equalizer was retained and all the features work as well.
(A lot of these factory stereos systems were usually upgraded with an after market unit and were either sold off or just simply tossed.
) Notes of visible minor defects are; near the lower left bolster area on the driver's seat is frayed.
Also there is a small fine crack on the deck lid by the INDY FIERO decal (see pictures).
However, overall this Fiero Indy Pace car presents well for being almost 40 years old & having under 20,000 miles.
Recent maintenance items include; a new set of R215/60 R14 'BF GOODRICH RADIAL TA' (raised white letters) steel belted tires.
An all wheel alignment which makes the vehicle track straight when driving (no pulling or drifting).
A brand new AC Delco battery.
Recent oil change with AC Delco oil filter.
On a history note of the 1984 Pontiac Fiero Indy Pace car edition & its original purchaser; Pontiac Motor Division produced just 2,000 of the Fiero Indy Pace car edition.
However there were way more Pontiac dealerships, which meant not every dealership would even receive one for retail sale to the public.
A Pontiac dealership that was fortunate enough to acquire a Fiero Indy Pace car knew what they had & there was no way a prospective buyer could even negotiate down on the M.

sticker price.
In fact the original owner of this particular Fiero Indy Pace car ended up paying an additional $2,700.
over sticker in order to have the distinction of owning it just prior to the running of The Indy 500 on May 27, 1984, which was quite a financial sum back then (have the original Bill of Sale that authenticates this).
A further note of rarity on the 1984 Fiero Indy Pace car is that of the 2,000 produced, only 10% (approximately 200) were equipped with the 4 Speed Manual Transmission.
This particular Fiero Indy Pace car has the original factory 4 Speed, which shifts smoothly.
In addition it is equipped with a rare cruise control option (Yes on the 4 Speed Manual Transmission) and it does work.
Also the original factory 4 cylinder 2.
5 EFI (Iron Duke Engine) starts right up and runs smooth as well.
The selling price on this Fiero Indy Pace car edition is $15,750.
which is realistic considering it has the rare 4 Speed Manual Transmission, along with all the complete factory options in working order.
This vehicle is currently registered and available for a test drive (however it will be stored for winter shortly).
Also a clear Title is present for transfer.
Included in the sale will be; The Original Window Sticker, Bill of Sale (provenance), Owner's Manual, GM Pontiac 1984 Service Manual, 'Enthusiasts Guide to the Pontiac Fiero' which covers all years of the Fiero denoting all the RPO option numbers & production numbers of certain models (A Great Definitive Information Source on all the Pontiac Fiero years).
Also a custom fit front bumper bra cover with an Indy Fiero logo.
One other interesting note; of the two sets of GM keys to be included, one of the original sets still has the GM knock out codes still intact on the key head.
I have to also add that seeing this Pontiac Fiero Indy Pace Car Edition is almost 40 years old; It is being sold as is with no warranty.
However, I occasionally drive it just to keep the fluids circulating and battery charged.
This Fiero Indy Pace car performs as should & all options still work.
In summation of the above, you are welcomed to field any questions of interest you may have, Thank You For Considering.
